Dr. Connor Subocz-Quinn, DC

Hi, I’m Dr. Connor—a Bay Area native and former U.S. Army
combat medic. After nearly a decade of military service and two deployments to Afghanistan, I witnessed the harmful effects of opioid-based pain management firsthand.
That experience fueled my passion for finding safer, more effective solutions, which ultimately led me to chiropractic care.
I discovered chiropractic after dealing with sciatic pain and upper back tension during my time in service. Later, following a serious car
accident and concussion, it was chiropractic care that played a
pivotal role in my recovery.
Outside the office, I stay active through beach runs with my dog Parker, rock climbing, and lifting. I’m also a writer, volunteer with Team Rubicon and Purpose First, and love giving back to the community.
My approach to care is all about getting to the root of the issue—
so you can move, feel, and live better for the long haul.
My Story
Dr. Connor Subocz-Quinn is a Bay Area native who relocated to San Diego in 2024 to continue
his journey in healthcare. Before becoming a chiropractor, Dr. Connor spent nearly a decade
serving as a combat medic in the U.S. Army, deploying twice to Afghanistan.
During his military service, he witnessed firsthand the devastating effects of opioids in pain
management, which fueled his commitment to finding safer, more effective solutions for
managing pain. While serving, Dr. Connor discovered chiropractic care when seeking relief from
sciatic pain and upper back tension caused by the strain of wearing body armor. This experience
sparked his interest in alternative healthcare solutions.
After leaving the Army, Dr. Connor pursued his education with the goal of becoming a
healthcare professional. His military experiences and his observations of the limitations within
traditional Western medicine strengthened his belief that something vital was missing from the
current healthcare model.
The decision to become a chiropractor came unexpectedly or, as he puts it, "it hit me like a
truck... but it was a Toyota Sequoia." Following a T-bone collision that caused his vehicle to roll
three times, Dr. Connor suffered from post-concussion syndrome. While navigating the
healthcare system during his recovery, he found that his local chiropractor played the most
pivotal role in helping him heal. Inspired by this experience, he immediately applied to Palmer
College of Chiropractic West, where he earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2023.
While at Palmer West, Dr. Connor served as president of the Speak Club, was an active member
of the Sports Council and Veterans Club, and participated in several notable internships. He
trained with the VA Black Hills Health Care System in South Dakota and worked with a
pediatrics and maternity specialist in Wasilla, Alaska, gaining valuable experience in diverse
healthcare environments.
Outside his chiropractic career, Dr. Connor is passionate about volunteer work, serving
communities worldwide, providing disaster relief in the U.S. with Team Rubicon and
volunteering locally in San Diego with Purpose First beach cleanup.
He’s also a dedicated writer, having contributed periodical articles to local newspapers in the
South Bay Area, published a childrens book, and is currently completing a fiction novel.
An athlete at heart, Dr. Connor played rugby for the San Jose Seahawks, ran the Berlin Marathon
in 2012, and enjoys rock climbing in his free time. He stays active by running with his Belgian
Malinois, Parker, every morning on the beach and lifting weights several times a week.
Dr. Connor’s personal philosophy centers on viewing pain as a structural problem, addressing
the root cause through targeted chiropractic manipulation, diet, and exercise consultation. By
focusing on restoring proper function and alignment alongside promoting small, daily habits. he
aims to provide long-term solutions for his patients rather than temporary symptom relief.
